Frequently Asked Questions
1.
How do I contact my local Main
Street Theatre location?
You can find both the the manager line and the movie line phone numbers for each
individual theatre by selecting your local theatre on the main page of our
website.
2.
Can I buy tickets in advance? Tickets can be purchased from the box office up to 3 days in advance of the opening of a movie. Some features may be available for purchase up to 2 weeks in advance. For select theatres, you may also purchase your tickets online. You will need to go to the individual theatres tab to check for availability of this feature. Note: purchasing tickets in advance only guarantees you a seat to a particular show. This ticket does not reserve a specific seat for that show. With the advance tickets purchased at the theatres, you have the convenience of bypassing our box office ticket line and going straight to the usher.
3.
Do you take credit cards? Currently, all of our theatres are accepting all major credit cards (VISA, MasterCard, Discover Card, and American Express). For your convenience you can use your credit card at both box office and/or concessions. You can also purchase gift certificates with your credit card.
4.
Do you take checks? No, at this time we unable to accept personal checks. We do however take most debit cards backed by Visa or Master Card.
5.
Why isn't a certain movie
playing at my local theatre?
Deciding
which movie plays at a Main Street Theatre is a complicated and competitive
process. All film exhibitors compete to acquire as many of the new releases as
possible. Film distributors have requirements as to number of screens and seats
a theatre must have before releasing a first run film to us. While we would like
to be able to play every film that is released at every one of our theatres,
distribution requirements prohibit us from doing so. We apologize for that
inconvenience. If a film is not playing at your local theatre, check with
management of that location to see when it might be playing or to find the next
closest Main Street Theatres location that can meet your needs.
6.
What is your Ratings Policy? Main
Street Theatres enforces the film policies of the MPAA to the best of our
abilities. An adult guardian must accompany anyone under the age of 17 who
wishes to attend a R-rated film. Identification is
required upon request. Read more about the Rating Policy at
www.filmratings.com.
